BIDS FOR KIDS

On May 19th, Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School raised more than $1.7 million

dollars a at our annual gala, Bids for Kids. The event honored Goldman Sachs & Co.

Managing Director, Donald J. Truesdale, and New York City Housing Authority

Chairman, John B. Rhea. Money raised will go to our various programs for the

youth and families of East Harlem.

 

A bold new project was announced at the event VIP/Press Reception with the

presentation of a $32.5 million gift from the Department of Education Chancellor,

Joel Klein. The donation will go toward Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School’s

Capital Campaign to build a joint home for in East Harlem.
