ROOKIE
LEAGUE
Serving 120 youth, ages 7-8, each summer, the Rookie League provides East Harlem
youth and their families with their first introduction to baseball and softball
in a safe, structured, and fun environment.
Participants play on co-ed tee-ball teams with a focus on instruction and recreation.
Rookie League participants:
- learn baseball fundamentals and improve physical health
- recognize their peers and coaches as a supportive community
- gain introduction to Harlem RBI’s core values: teamwork,
respect, potential, effort, fun
