PARTNERSHIPS
Harlem RBI views collaboration with other youth and social service providers as an opportunity to connect its participants to the best possible services, avoid duplication and build a community among agencies working within East Harlem and New York City. To achieve these goals, Harlem RBI has formal partnerships with:
  • The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (AHC), which plays a supervisory role for Harlem RBI’s Social Worker and provides long-term mental health care for Harlem RBI participants as needed.  AHC also provides annual physical exams for all Harlem RBI teenage youth.
  • The Partnership for After School Education (PASE) Program Council, where Harlem RBI's Executive Director is a Co-Chair, and works to build the capacity of the after-school field in New York City;
  • The East Harlem Human Services Consortium, where neighboring agencies keep each other abreast of best practices and new initiatives for East Harlem children and families;
  • Junior High School 99 and Public School 38 where classroom and gymnasium facilities are available to Harlem RBI for program activities year-round; and
  • Public/Private Ventures (P/PV), which works with Harlem RBI to implement P/PV’s Youth Education for Tomorrow (YET) literacy model in after-school classrooms.
